Mizner Country Club Gets A Shot in the Arm with the Help of Palm Beach Health Department

The Health Care District of Palm Beach County (HCD PBC) was onsite Tuesday, May 25, 2021, offering COVID vaccines to employees and members of the Mizner Country Club community, their families and friends. The HCD PBC’s mobile unit offered the Mizner community a choice of the Pfizer or J&J vaccine noting that the minimum age for the Pfizer vaccine is 12 years old, while for the one-shot J&J individuals must be 18 years and older.

“This was another pivotal day in our community since the start of the Covid pandemic,” said Larry Savvides, Mizner Country Club’s General Manager and Chief Operating Officer. “After educating our employees and sharing vaccination sites with them for the past several months, it was extremely gratifying to offer them a convenience factor and welcome the HCD PBC’s mobile site to the Mizner campus.  We invited our members, staff, their friends and families. The HCD PBC staff was professional, organized, warm, and friendly.  No appointment was necessary.  More than 35 Mizner employees and members took advantage of the four-hour window that the HCD PBC provided which was greatly appreciated by all.”

Savvides notes that roughly 50% of Mizner employees are now fully vaccinate

d with around 75% of members vaccinated.“Following the revised CDC guidelines, vaccinated employees no longer have to wear a mask if they show their vaccination card,” he said.
