Perfect Timing for the Ross’

New Mizner Homeowners

Perfect Timing for the Ross’

For David and Lauren Ross, life was nudging them in a specific direction, Mizner Country Club, and a new lifestyle that would provide convenience and engagement.

“The timing was beautiful,” said David. “My job is in Boca. The commute was an hour and then my wife started working up here at our church.”

Still, moving from Broward to Mizner with one child off to college and a teenager still at home was a big decision.

“It was a big concern for us,” said David. “Changing high schools in his junior year, but, to be honest, it was just great. He really fit in well.”

Facing the second chapter for the Ross’ also meant thinking about themselves.

“We thought long and hard about the kind of community we wanted to be in for the next steps of our lives.”

When the Ross’ started adding up the benefits, the choice was a no-brainer.

“First we thought the community was beautiful,” said David. “The home value in a community like this — a golf course community, the value on the home was wonderful. We saw it as the perfect opportunity for us to get a new home and get ready for the next chapter of our lives, here. We really love it.”

They moved to Mizner.

“We noticed right away that the people here are very friendly,” he said. “We would be out in our front yard, doing yard work and we’d see people riding their bikes. They would stop and talk to us. Then we’d see them again at the Club at brunch.”

It’s been a little over a year now, David said it was so much easier to get to know people at Mizner compared to his old neighborhood where neighbors do the usual —  the polite nod and wave. Instead, the Club lifestyle gives you so many opportunities to meet new people and actually connect.

“You see people in the neighborhood and then you’re going out to dinner at the Club, and you see the same people,” said David. “You can start to build relationships from there. If you don’t meet people here, it’s kinda your own fault.”

As new residents, they’re taking it all in and enjoying every moment.

“I love looking out our backdoor and seeing people teeing off, and a gorgeous view of the golf course,” he said. “I’m also impressed with the security here, the extra friendly staff and the neighbors.”

Just like the residents who have been living at Mizner for years, the Ross’ are loving the new Lifestyle Complex.

They’re most enjoying the new restaurant locations, Craft Bar & Grille for a handcrafted dinner and The Market for morning coffee and quick bites for lunch.

“They just redid the golf course a few years prior and recently opened Central, the new renovation. We moved here just in time.”
